The Sixth Form curriculum in Cheshire Studio School is built around two pathways: Business & Creative and Sport & Wellbeing.
All of these subjects build on subjects which are offered within the Year 11 Curriculum.
Business & Creative
In the Business & Creative Pathway we offer subjects to help students understand the mechanics of the working world across a variety of industries, these provide an excellent platform to apply for an apprenticeship or progress to university, the subjects on offer are:
- BTEC Enterprise and Entrepreneurship > GCSE Business Studies
- Level 3 Finance > GCSE Business Studies
- BTEC Criminology > GCSE Psychology
- BTEC Creative iMedia (Year 13 2022-23) > Creative I-Media / Digital Information Technology
- A Level Media Studies (Year 12 2022-24) > GCSE Media Studies
- BTEC Travel and Tourism > GCSE Geography
Sport & Wellbeing
The Sport & Wellbeing pathway includes a range of options to prepare students for life in the world of sport or public services, the subjects available are:
- BTEC Sport (can be studied as part of the Football Academy or separately) > BTEC Sport / Cambridge National Sports Studies
- BTEC Health and Social Care > L2 Health and Social Care

Additional Study Options
Students also have the opportunity to combine their subjects with additional A Level options that are provided in Knutsford Academy Sixth Form.
Employability Programme
Cheshire Studio school curriculum is supported by an extensive employability programme to help prepare students for the working world, be it an apprenticeship on completion of their studies or full time employment. The employability programmes includes work experience and working with a range of businesses who deliver workshops on specific areas of expertise, in addition students receive support with CV development, interview expertise and career guidance.
