Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship (PSHCE) education is delivered once a week to students by their form tutors in their tutor groups. The lessons are anchored by mutual respect and tolerance and take place in a learning environment in which students feel safe, comfortable, and heard. The curriculum is guided by recommendations from the PSHE Association and includes all statutory content outlined by the Department of Education. At Knutsford Academy, we want our students to understand the differences between physical, mental, and emotional well-being and recognise ways that these can be maintained. PSHCE allows this and enables students to develop their skills, attitudes, and attributes so that they possess employability skills required for the job market. Our PSHCE curriculum ultimately ensures that our students can become healthy, happy, safe, and productive British citizens that uphold British Values.
