BON VOYAGE!
Last week we said bon voyage to our French Exchange Students, who had a fantastic time with their host families and exploring all the North West has to offer. Our own students will be going to France during the Easter holidays. During this trip, they will be visiting Josephine Baker's house, Château des Milandes, in the Dordogne. Josephine Baker was a significant public figure because of her contributions to the civil rights movement, her activism, and her role in the French resistance during World War II. #BlackHistoryMonth2024 #ReclaimingNarratives
English Schools Cross Country
Students from years 7-10 attended the English Schools Cross Country first round at Walton Gardens in Warrington this week. Mr Williams & Mrs Ince were really impressed with the excellent effort and determination shown by all of the students. This competition is a team event and we are pleased to announce that the junior boys qualified for the second round. They will travel to Bromsgrove in November to race in the regional finals. Well done to all involved!
Knutsford Academy Alumni News
Ex-student, Liam Clorley (pictured below) was the opening batsman and off-spin bowler that helped the Cheshire Cricket U16 Team become the National U16 ECB Champions. Liam is currently following his passion for cricket by attending Old Trafford (via Myerscough College) and is pursuing a career in cricket/sport. We continue to wish Liam all the best and congratulate him on his amazing achievements!
A Level Religious Studies Trip - The Grange Hartford
Year 12 and Year 13 Religious Studies students had the opportunity to attend a conference entitled "The Smoking Gun: arguments for and against the existence of God" at The Grange in Hartford. They attended talks on the Cosmological and Ontological arguments, with explanations of different religious experiences. Two of our students also took part in a live debate, questioning the existence of God. This has helped to enrich our curriculum and enhance students' UCAS applications.
GCSE Conway Dance Residential
We had the absolute pleasure of taking 20 of our Year 10 and 11 GCSE Dance students to the Conway Dance Residential this weekend. The students participated in over 10 hours of creative and performance workshops including an intensive professional repertory session with Boy Blue Dance Company. The students were a real credit to the school and should be proud of all that they achieved!

All made a fantastic impression and were very polite. They are really looking forward to getting on the water in the next session!

Ambitious Year 9
Miss Page's Year 9 English class have created some excellent pieces of homework this week, demonstrating our school value of 'ambition'. They had to create a 'context poster' for a new unit of work on Of Mice and Men. Here is an example of the best (see more on our Facebook page). Well done Year 9!
